JOB TITLE:                     Account Manager
REPORTING TO:           Head of Client Services
TEAM:                            Client Services
LOCATION:                   Sunline, Loughborough

The Account Manager role is to establish and develop relationships with their clients, managing their mailing projects from start to finish and providing advice for all aspects that may affect them. An Account Manager must understand their client’s needs and maintain effective communication both verbally (including face-to-face) and in writing.

Main Duties:

  • To effectively monitor and maintain the relationship between themselves and their client contacts, addressing potential problems in a correct and timely manner.
  • To arrange and attend periodic review meetings with their respective clients along with any other relevant Sunline personnel. Meetings to be arranged on at least a quarterly basis.
  • To manage clients’ expectations effectively by understanding the clients’ strategic and operational objectives, ensuring that changing or additional requirements are costed and communicated to clients in a timely manner.
  • To use initiative and commitment to build up detailed knowledge about the company’s new initiatives & project offerings in order to communicate these effectively to clients.
  • To be responsible for creating accurate and detailed job briefs for Operations, ensuring that all mailing projects are scheduled and produced in accordance with the clients’ instructions, with any problems being dealt with personally within 24 hours.
  • To communicate with Operations, ensuring that correct and sufficient consumables are forecast and delivered in a correct and timely manner.
  • To be responsible for the management of ‘overs’ stock ensuring that instructions are ascertained and communicated to Operations in a correct and timely manner.
  • To suggest new ideas and initiatives to seniors/clients to increase performance relating to their mailings.
  • To accurately provide monthly client invoice figures, ensuring that all activities are charged for.
  • To accurately keep the company’s Order Book up-to-date, ensuring that all pending mailings are added to the spreadsheet in a timely manner.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Over 2 years experience of managing accounts (preferably within the Direct Mail, Transactional Mail or Polywrap sectors)
  • Experience of using business intelligence tools
  • Personal drive and determination

JOB TITLE:                     Junior Account Manager

The Junior Account Manager role is a trainee position, acting as a support function to the existing Client Services team whilst learning all aspects relating to the management of customers and their mailing projects. A Junior Account Manager must be an effective communicator, well organised, meticulous in their approach to their duties, and be able to achieve an understanding of the client’s needs and the correct processes required to meet them.

Main Duties:

  • To use initiative and commitment to build up detailed knowledge about the company’s new initiatives & project offerings in order to help communicate these effectively to clients.
  • To be responsible for creating accurate and detailed job briefs for Operations, ensuring that all mailing projects are scheduled and produced in accordance with the clients’ instructions, with any problems being escalated as a matter of priority.
  • To communicate with Operations, ensuring that correct and sufficient consumables are forecast and delivered in a correct and timely manner.
  • To be responsible for the management of ‘overs’ stock ensuring that instructions are ascertained and communicated to Operations in a correct and timely manner.
  • To be responsible for the management of AB samples, ensuring that these are quality-checked and dispatched to clients in a timely manner.
  • To suggest new ideas and initiatives to seniors/clients to increase performance relating to their mailings.
  • To assist with monthly client invoice figures, ensuring that all activities are charged for.
  • To assist with keeping the company’s Order Book up-to-date, ensuring that all pending mailings are added to the spreadsheet in a timely manner.
